To use this program you will need HyperCard 2.0 or higher. This is a program distributed by Apple Computer and comes with all Macintosh Computers.
Load the INVERTEBRATE program Stacks on your hard disk that has the HyperCard program or simply start the program from the disk drive. To open the DIGESTION program you can double-click on HyperCard and then find the stack DIGESTION of the INVERTEBRATE folder when you open the File Menu on the Home Stack. An easier way is to simply double-click on the MENU stack in the INVERTEBRATE folder and the stack will "come-up" under HyperCard.
If you do no have a hard drive, then you will need to have two disk drives. Have your System start-up and HyperCard on the internal drive and the INVERTEBRATE program on the external drive.
These stacks are provided as "freeware" and may be copied and distributed without charge. However, they cannot be modified or incorporated in a commercial program without permission of the authors.
You can make "hard copies" of the stacks at any time by hitting Open Apple - Space Bar and getting the HyperCard Menu Bar. Under File, select Print Stack and following the directions.
If would like to have a "unprotected copy" of any of the stacks to examine scripting - let me know.
I have provided a file "TEACHERS/Questions that is in Microsoft Works. This file contains possible questions that you may want to use in tests and quizzes.
There is also a file "STUDENTS/Questions" which contains a review sheet that you may want to pass out to students studying the program.
Included in the folder is a graphic file "INVERTEBRATE/Graphics" which has a number of graphic shots of the digestive system from the INVERTEBRATE program.
Also, I have 4 stack sets that came out with Educorp Corporation this Fall (1992)
One is "Invertebrate Animal Survey" - a set of 3 - 800K disks. This is the program that you have on the present disk.

The other stack is on "Cell Respiration" and this is available for $5 from me.
(These stack sets from Educorp may not have teacher/student questions or graphic print-outs)
Lastly, I have the latest version of "AIDS" as well as a series of stacks on the "Human Digestive System". Both of these stacks have various question files and a graphic file. (The "AIDS" stack is available through the National Association of Biology Teachers or through me for $5. Same price for the "Digestion" stacks.)
I have a HyperCard stack called "MacResource". This stack allows an instructor to bring in color pictures and QuickTime movies to enhance graphics and text material normally found in a HyperCard stack. $5 for the disk.
